Tornado Hits Dayton/Beavercreek Area
Our church nor our picnic was hit by the Tornado which came through Beavercreek, but one touched down just over a mile North of the church and also a mile West of the church. There were two tornados – one continued East missing Xenia towards Jamestown South of Columbus the last I heard.
So today, I am asking for your prayers for those who have lost their homes or had their homes damaged or business (our dentist is closed indefinitely due to extensive building damage for example) destroyed or damaged as well as their cars due to trees and limbs falling everywhere. Power lines and trees are down in many road areas making movement difficult through many parts of North Beavercreek.
I am thankful no one died to my knowledge though a number of people were injured from flying debris. Pleas pray for all those who are faced with losses that they will find solace in our Lord Jesus Christ.
In addition this afternoon our church – Calvary Chapel of Dayton at 4197 Dayton-Xenia Road – will be serving hot dogs and beans and anything else we can come up with for those who need a meal or for those working to clear the power lines and trees from the roads from 1:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. or later. Park across the street and come to the rear entrance, enjoy a meal and some air-conditioning.
