Verses 1-3

  • Women are just as special and valuable to God as men are. We are all one in the body of Christ.

Parable of the Sower: 4-8

4 types of soil:

On the path- SEED was trampled and birds devoured it

On the Rock- SEED grew but withered from no moisture

Among thorns- thorns grew up with and choked the SEED

In good soil- SEED grew and yielded a hundredfold

Parable explained: 9-15

SEED is the Word of God. (Verse 11)

On the Path – heard BUT devil takes away from the heart

On the Rock – heard and received BUT no root and fall away

Fall away – where we get our word for Apostasy, meaning to refuse to continue to follow, obey, or recognize your faith; to renounce your belief

In the thorns – heard BUT choked out and no fruit

In good soil – heard and HELD FAST with their heart and bore fruit.

Verse 16 –   SEE THE LIGHT    (John 8:12, Ephesians 5:8, Matthew 5:16)

Verse 17 – Nothing is Hidden (1 Corinthians 2:6-11)

Verse 18 – How you hear; we hear through FAITH, (Heb 4:2) REVERENCE (1 Thes 2:13) PRAYER (Mark 11:24 & John 16:23-24)

Are you always looking to hear from God? What soil is your heart?
