John 10:7-21

John 10:7-21

John 10:11Vintage message from our 2002-2003 radio program called “Perspective” aired April 20, 2003.

If we are true watchmen, when those sheep come through the door, all we are about is taking God’s Word that He has given to us and laying it out in such a way that, when the sheep hear, they know they’ve heard the truth from Jesus, and they follow Him…

This is what Jesus was about: leading the sheep to a place where they can eat; leading you and I to a place where we can feed on the truth. He’s given us His Word, and He desires that we would be in His Word, that we would be led by His Spirit to understand His Word, and we feed, we find pasture, in His Word. We find pasture in fellowship in areas where the Word is being taught. We become saved when Jesus speaks to our heart, and we respond by saying, “Yes, Lord Jesus. I’m coming in,” or “Jesus, You’re allowed to enter into me. You’re allowed to have me…”

Understand something. Jesus said, “I will never leave you or forsake you.” Jesus does not abandon those that He loves. Jesus does not leave behind those that are hurting or those that are weak or those that are in distress. He’s the Good Shepherd. He is not going to abandon you. He lays His life down…

Jesus is the way in, and Jesus is the way out. It doesn’t come by rules and regulations. It doesn’t come by going to church. It doesn’t come by doing good things. Salvation and strength and growth and health and life in abundance comes when you give your life into the hands of the Shepherd Who loves you.
