We will go through rough times, and it is our faith that determines how we come through on the other side of those rough times.

Matthew 17:24-27

Sometimes our faith grows or is determined by our preparation. You know what? If I want God to do something in my life, and I’m not willing to pray, then why should He do it? If I’m not willing to come to God and humble myself, why should God have to do the things that I want done in my life? And this is the amazing thing about God. He knows every need we have. He knows every hair on…
Are we fostering faith in our hearts so that when the challenge comes to us we can step into it and overcome it?

Matthew 17:10-23

And this is the problem with mountain-top experiences. You have this great time, but you still have to come down, and guess what? When you get to the bottom of the mountain, life is still there waiting and generally, is just as hard as when you went up. You know, we go to the top of the mountain to get away from that life. We want to get away from the pressure, we want to get away from the hard…
Have you ever thought that maybe some of the things that you're going through in your life, you're going through because God loves you? Not because God is punishing you. Not because God hates you. Not because God is trying to discipline you... Isn't it possible that God could desire for me to go through some very painful things in order for those that are around me to hear praises still coming from my lips? Have you ever felt like God could not love you because of something you’d done? Because of something that had gone on in your life that now God must be punishing you because of the bad things that are happening in your life? “And after all, God, I deserve it.” Let me tell you something. Those assumptions are wrong. Now, God will discipline you. I’m not going to tell you God does not discipline, but God’s discipline always comes lovingly…
The more you search, the more you dig, the more you learn about how awesome this God is.

Matthew 17:1-3

Jesus asked the question…Who do you say I am? I think this is a question that you could ask yourself every day of your life. You could wake up in the morning and say, “You know what, Lord? Who do I say You are today?” And I think you’d be amazed at the answer that you’ll get from yourself. Every day, Who Jesus is to us changes based on our life circumstances. We judge God. Do you realize that? You…
Who do you say Jesus is? Is He your Santa Claus in the sky? Is He the One that you only turn to when you're in trouble or you want something? Or, is He now your Life Partner that you are going to walk with every moment of every day? Who do you say He is? That is the question I believe that each of us, every day, need to grapple with.

Matthew 16:13-28

It’s not about whether or not I’m good enough. I’m never going to be good enough. But it is about the fact that Jesus was good enough, and He saved me. So it doesn’t matter if I’m doing good things. God loves me… He loved the world, He loved you, He loved me, long before there was anything good in us, and the only thing good that ever came into us was the Person of Jesus when we asked Him…
