1 Samuel 29:1-30:6

1 Samuel 29:1-30:6

1 Samuel 30:6Vintage message from January 10, 1999.

We, in our lives, too often fail to look at how God has provided for us, how God has protected us, all the things that God has done for us. Do you realize that each one of us in this room this morning have a great and glorious testimony of God’s faithfulness? I don’t care who you are. You have a testimony if you will just take time to look at your life and what has brought you to this place where you’re at today, and I don’t mean this church. I mean where you’re at in life… When we fail to look at God’s faithfulness it puts us in a situation of taking things into our own hands, matters into our own hands. We take control. We take the reins, and when we take the reins, we get in trouble…

And you know, this is where it happens: when we make a name for ourself, when we begin to build ourself up in the eyes of the world all of a sudden we become so arrogant we fall to our own deception…

Do you understand that no matter how far you fall, no matter how wicked you become, that if the Lord is your God, that you can come back? If He is truly your God, I don’t care what the consequences of your actions are, you can find strength in Him once again…
