1 Samuel 15:22 JUB
Today’s verse is late, very late as I have struggled to determine what will be the next subject from Genesis through Revelation. I have found peace in choosing obey/obedience as well as submit/submission as they are highly related. Using BibleGateway.com and the NIV found there are 206 references to obey, 38 to obedience, 29 to submit, and 7 to submission.
The verse above was chosen because it directly illustrates to obey is better than sacrifice in the NIV and KJV while the NLT and many others have obedience is better than sacrifice. The JUB (Jubilee Bible) was chosen simply to show some versions may not have either, but it does have to hear is better than sacrifice which implies if you are hearing from the Lord you will obey.
It is my hope you will enjoy this adventure throughout scripture looking at all the references to obey/obedience and submit/submission as we learn more and more about what God expects from us.
